HinesDr. Eisenach is Vice Chair of Research for the Department of Anesthesiology at Wake Forest University and the Director of the Pain Mechanisms Lab. He received his MD from the University of California, San Francisco. He did a residency in Anesthesia at the Mayo Clinic and a residency in Obstetric Anesthesia at Wake Forest.

Dr. Eisenach's clinical and research interests include obstetrical anesthesia and pain research. He was the Principle Investigator for a multi-center trial leading to FDA approval of edpidural clonidine for intractable neuropathic pain associated with cancer. Dr. Eisenach is currently Editor-in-Chief of Anesthesiology.
